The New Jersey Devils hope to avoid a three-game losing streak when they welcome the rival Philadelphia Flyers for a Metropolitan Division battle at Prudential Center. The game can be seen live on TSN, tonight at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. After winning their final two games in December, the Devils are 0-2-0 to begin the 2014 calendar year. New Jersey will try to get back on track Tuesday when it kicks off a three-game homestand that will also feature visits from Dallas and Florida. The Devils lost 5-3 against the visiting Chicago Blackhawks on Friday and were dealt a 2-1 regulation setback the following night in Buffalo. Journeyman forward Matt DAgostini, who briefly played for New Jersey last season, scored the winner in the third period to lift the Sabres to Saturdays close victory. Michael Ryder scored the only goal of the game for the Devils, while Cory Schneider allowed both goals on 22 shots in the loss. "Ive got to find a way to get it done and win games this time of the year," said Schneider. "You can say it all you want, but you have to make it happen." Despite boasting a strong 2.13 goals against average and solid .914 save percentage this season, Schneider fell to 5-9-5 in his first campaign with the Devils. Martin Brodeur, who is 12-9-3 with a 2.36 GAA and .903 save percentage this season, will get the start in net tonight. Brodeur is 49-31-3 with six ties and a 2.38 GAA in 90 career games against the Flyers. Philadelphia, meanwhile, hopes to close out what so far has been a successful road trip with another win. The Flyers are 4-1-0 during the six-game swing and won for the fifth time in six games with Saturdays comeback victory in Phoenix. The Flyers trailed the Coyotes by 2-0 and 3-1 scores on Saturday before Philly rallied for a 5-3 triumph. Wayne Simmonds, Jakub Voracek and Claude Giroux lit the lamp in the third period to help the Flyers rebound from Thursdays 2-1 regulation loss at Colorado. Scott Hartnell and Brayden Schenn also scored for the Flyers, while Steve Mason came up with 26 saves. "In the beginning of the season we would just fold but right now we believe in ourselves and that we can come back from any deficit," said Voracek. "This is a tough building and a tough team, so this is big for us." Philadelphia, which is 10-10-4 on the road this season, halted a four-game slide in New Jersey when it notched a 1-0 win at the Prudential Center on Nov. 2. Ray Emery needed to make only 14 saves and Schenn scored to help the Flyers down Brodeur and the Devils. However, Brodeur answered that loss less than a week later, posting a shutout in a 3-0 triumph over the Devils on Nov. 7. Brodeur has 12 shutouts against the Flyers during his standout career. Mason is 0-3-0 with a 3.68 GAA in his career against New Jersey, but Emery is 6-4-2 with a 1.91 GAA in this matchup. With Philadelphia playing Wednesday against Montreal, the Flyers could opt to use Mason tonight and then start Emery tomorrow against the Canadiens. Philadelphia is currently tied with Washington for second place in the Metro Division, but the Flyers are still a whopping 17 points in back of first-place Pittsburgh. The Devils are sitting sixth in the division with 42 points, but are only four points in back of Philadelphia. And theyre pointing to the NHLs biggest market: Toronto. With Gretzky paid out for what is believed to be $7 to 8 million, Gretzky may be eager to get back into the NHL and TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports that the Maple Leafs are very much interested in The Great Ones services. Nike Free Flyknit Uk Sale . - A week after a late-game debacle on defence, the Pittsburgh Steelers showed they can finish.PITTSBURGH -- Sidney Crosby scored his 23rd goal of the season and added two assists as the Pittsburgh Penguins ripped the New York Rangers 5-2 on Friday night for their 11th straight home win. Marc-Andre Fleury made 33 saves for Pittsburgh and Jussi Jokinen ended a lengthy scoring drought with two goals. Chris Kunitz also scored twice for the Penguins, who won for the 10th time in their last 12 meetings with New York. Pittsburgh coach Dan Bylsma picked up his 231st career victory, leaving him one shy of Eddie Johnsons franchise record for coaching wins. Henrik Lundqvist made 23 saves for the Rangers. Mats Zuccarello scored a pair of third-period goals for New York, but the Rangers continued to have problems with the Metropolitan Division-leading Penguins. Fleurys play had a little something to do with it. The Pittsburgh goaltender improved to 29-3 in his last 32 games at Consol Energy Center and is bolstering his bid for a spot on the Canadian Olympic team when its announced next week. Crosbys place is already assured. And four years after lifting Canada to gold in Vancouver, he remains at the top of his game. He pushed his point total to an NHL best 62 by setting up Kunitz twice and bumping Pittsburghs lead to 4-0 late in the second with pretty backhand from in front that Lundqvist fanned at as the puck hit the back of the net. Theres a good chance Crosby could be joined in Sochi by Kunitz, who has developed a unique chemistry with one of the games greatest players. Both of Kunitzs goals came on assists from Crosby. His 22nd goal of the season put the Penguins in front late in the first period aand his 23rd goal with 6:37 remaining blunted a late New York rally.dddddddddddd New York simply couldnt keep up. Ryan Callahan returned after missing nine games with a knee injury and while the Rangers were able to control play for several lengthy stretches, they never came close to beating Fleury while the outcome was still in doubt. Their best chance came early, when Brassard broke in alone on Fleury only to have his backhand shot deflect off the inside of Fleurys pads and out of harms way. Pittsburgh had little trouble capitalizing on the reprieve. Kunitz pushed a puck into an empty net 13:09 into the first and Jokinen scored his first goal since Nov. 30 with a wrist shot from the right faceoff circle that Lundqvist barely saw. After going 34 days between goals, Jokinen barely had to wait 20 minutes for his next one. He took a pass from John Gibbons and flipped a backhand by Lundqvists right shoulder while being dragged to the ice to make it 3-0. It was all the offence Fleury would require as the banged up Penguins remain on cruise control with the Eastern Conferences top record despite a series of injuries that have forced them to rely heavily on American Hockey League call-ups to fill out the roster. NOTES: New York forward Derek Dorsett injured his left leg while trying to block a slap shot by Pittsburghs Olli Maatta in the first period and sat out the final two periods. ... Pittsburgh is 19-2 when it scores first. ... Pittsburghs longest home winning streak is a 12-game run set between Feb. 22-March 30, 2013. ... New York plays in Toronto on Saturday. ...
